Taken from my personal collection of vintage French embroidery magazines, these designs are too good to be lost. However, to add a little something extra, they have all beeen adapted and combined to appeal to the modern stitcher. When they were first published, embroideresses would have had all the techniques needed to work these designs at their fingertips. Nowadays we aren't so clever, so diagrams and full instructions are included, showing how to work each technique and stitch used.

Embellished Redwork

For those of you who love the timeless look of redwork, these beautiful vintage designs can be worked in the traditonal way. But for those who want something a little different, each design also includes pages of diagrams and instructions, showing how the designs can be embellished with speciality stitches, threads, ribbons and beads, with stunning results.
