This sampler is the perfect introduction to the art of drawn threadwork. Using just a few simple stitches, you will quickly master the basics of this, one of the oldest forms of stitching. You will be amazed how easy it is, and how quick it is to stitch. The sampler does not require a huge investment in fabric or fibres. All you need is a small piece of fabric, No 8 and No 12 Perle threads to match your fabric, and two colours of the thread of your choice. You could use some cotton floss you already have, or why not try some of the fabulous hand-dyed silks that are available. Or, to give it extra sparkle, you could work it in metallic threads.
