Around the World in 80 stitches

Part 11 of Around the World in 80 stitches is now available to download from “Newsletter Corner”. This SAL is exclusively for people on our mailing list and is a sampler in 24 parts. Each month we will feature three or four speciality stitches which share their names with countries, areas or cities from around the world. In newsletter corner we will be displaying a map which will plot our journey around the world. There will be a version of the design which is suitable for Aida cloth and has only full cross stitches, back stitch and one or two very simple speciality stitches. This version will not, of course truly follow the "around the world" theme, but will be a very pretty design nonetheless.

New - The Castle Garden

This chart celebrates the beauty of the wonderful gardens we see in castles and chateaux around the world. The Specilaity stitch version of the design is packed full of different stitches to give texture and also to make it interesting and instructive to stitch. The cross stitch version of the design is worked in cross stitch only, with a little backstitching.
